COMMENTS: This layout was written up as part of a feature article in the Tri-County Sunday newspaper on March 16th. The P&S is a club type layout in a private home basement, designed as a successor to a former club layout in Brookville housed in the Gray Building, which burned, destroying most equipment. P&S engines are custom painted, and cars represent rolling stock from the 50's till the 70's.
OPERATIONS: Car cards and a dispatcher control operations, with usually two turns out of Brookville, and three out of Kittaning. Operators use a small clip board to work their schedule, switching assignment, car cards, and controller. Crews wait in the crew room for their call. Communication is by radio with the remote dispatcher.
