Alleviate the financial stress associated with your pet’s unexpected medical expenses and generate funds for our shelter at the same time! Simply apply for a ShelterCare Pet Insurance Program by using the ShelterCare banner-link.

Here’s how it works: ShelterCare Pet Insurance Programs cover you when your pet needs essential veterinary care from an illness or injury. Also, every time a completed application for a ShelterCare program is generated through our shelter’s website, we automatically receive a $25 donation to help cover common needs like blankets, litter and food. This donation is of no cost to you and provides us with essential funds. Make the right move and enroll today!

What is that Clearfield County SPCA?

It is a charitable organization with the express purposes being to promote and provide for the care, protection and humane treatment of animals.

How Do We Fulfill these purposes?

The Clearfield County SPCA operates an animal shelter and provides for qualified personnel to care for and protect animals. We also enforce the laws pertaining to animals as set forth in the Pennsylvania crime code.

What contributions does an SPCA make to the community?

We accept ANY and ALL unwanted animals into our shelter. We do NOT charge a fee for this service, but we do ask for whatever donation people can afford.

How is the Clearfield County SPCA Funded?

The Clearfield County SPCA is funded strictly from within the community we serve. All monies raised by the SPCA stay within the community and are used to serve the local population.

In Pennsylvania, there are NO state or local tax funds set aside for the SPCA. Neither are there federal funds for the SPCA.  Please help us help those who cannot speak for themselves, and in the process make our community a better place to live.

In Pennsylvania there are state laws which govern the keeping and care of animals. In addition, many local boroughs and townships also have ordinances which impact pet ownership. To make it easier for you to be aware of these state and local laws, a new section has been added to the Clearfield County SPCA Online.
